seriously what happened? i wish i lived in the olden days when wearing layers on top of layers & boys still calling girls beautiful, these days you practically have to dress naked to get boys attention and if they call you beautiful they only want something from you.

That’s just my opinion, but I think everybody has the right to dress as they like. Also, the ‘if they call you beautiful they only want something from you.’ is not something that was invented recently, and you’d find just as much jerks (both boys and girls) back then as you do today.

hough SB 48 (also known as the FAIR Education Act) takes effect on January 1, 2012, it may be years before some schools are able to purchase new, gay-inclusive history textbooks. Because of slashes in funding for education, it will be “at least several years” before such books are incorporated into the curriculum. Susan Brown, director of educational services for the Rim of the World Unified School District, told Mountain News:
“When we pick up again (with textbook purchases), we will focus first on math and (English) language arts. We are looking out at least several years for any new history books.”

So will it just be gay white men included in the textbooks? Will Harvey Milk just get a couple sentences in the book and that covers it? Somehow I doubt* they will include any women (women of color, lower class women, elite women, etc), men of color, working class men, etc.
*my fancy way of saying the only gay folks in the book will be gay white middle/upper class men.
oh, since we can’t get everyone in there, by all means, let’s stick with the current version. that sounds like a plan.

I have been wearing glasses since I was three years old. I now have -7.25 vision in both eyes. I can’t see two feet in front of me without glasses/contacts. I have EARNED the right to wear nerdy glasses. After being made fun of for most of my life because of the glasses… -7 in right, -7.5 in left, and 100% COSIGNED this bitch. like, i am real glad that there are fun cute frames to choose from, but legit i cannot see without mine. putting rhinestones on a leg brace would not make it any less weird for someone who didn’t need it to wear it, so STOP.
